We’re excited to celebrate one of our wonderful clients, Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment, on becoming finalists in three categories at the Tiara Recruitment Awards this year!
The name Curamoir (kurr-ah-more) reflects founder and CEO Donnchadh Lawlor’s Irish heritage, meaning “caregiver” in Gaelic, and was born out of his experience in social work and youth services. The Curamoir team’s goal is to make a difference to the people making a difference – placing highly-skilled individuals in healthcare and community services across Australia.
I always wanted to help people and make a positive difference to others. Across recruitment, you can have that same impact on people’s lives.
I launched Curamoir in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic at a time when the healthcare industry was under the most pressure / strain. I wanted to create a brand that could genuinely work in partnership with clients within the healthcare sector at a time when this help was most needed.

With a people-centric, community driven team, it’s no wonder Curamoir are taking the recruitment scene by storm. Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment were featured in The Australian Business Journal’s article 20 Australian Recruitment Agencies to Watch in 2022, and they were runners up in the Recruiter Insider Annual Service Excellence Awards in the healthcare/medical candidate experience category.
This year, they are finalists in the 2023 Tiara Recruitment Awards in three categories: The Bullhorn Community Impact Award, The Kyloe Specialist Recruitment Company Of The Year (1-15 Employees), and The Xeople Best New Recruitment Company Of The Year!
With a lot of established healthcare recruitment agencies openly reporting job-fill rates of 5%, Curamoir’s job-fill rate is 15%, reaching 16% in regional zones where services for care and essential services are under even greater pressure. They are passionate about making a difference, and encourage their employees to engage in community volunteering.

Members of their team have been involved with Lou’s Place Domestic Violence Refuge, they’ve run the Sydney half-marathon to support the White Ribbon Foundation, collected gifts and vouchers for homeless children with Taldumande Youth Services & The Burdekin Association, and participated in sleepouts with Stepping Stone House Foundation.
