In celebration of Vetting.com’s first birthday, some of our UK team pulled on their wellies, picked up their shovels and set out to plant some trees!
They planted a diverse variety of small whips (baby trees), including:
- Walnut
- Crab apple
- Oak
- Whitebeam
- Beech
- Sweet chestnut
- Aspen
- Maple
The team planted 260 trees in a new public field donated by the Local Government. They were delighted to spend the day together, bonding as a team to plant as many trees as they could.

It’s all part of Vetting.com’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Over the coming years we aim to plant thousands of trees, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of trees, to revive and regenerate natural spaces and do our part for the environment. We are proud to support green initiatives and accept our environmental responsibility to make a positive impact on the world. We are experts in background screening – we aim to become experts in planting trees too!

We are also proud to partner with local communities. Following our team’s big day out planting, an additional 70 fruit trees were planted. The fruit from these trees – mostly apples and pears – will be free for local residents to pick, gather and enjoy.
This field, which today looks like rows and rows of newly planted trees, will become a wonderful woodland in a few years – something that can be enjoyed for generations to come.
Happy first birthday to us!
